Jammy Lloyd signs on for Newark Town after helping Newark Flowserve to promotion
Jammy Lloyd has made the switch from orange to blue.
Energetic central midfielder Lloyd has moved across town from Newark Flowserve to Newark Town.
Luke Parsons, Town’s player-manager, said the signing would be a huge boost for the Blues’ title run-in.
He said: “Jammy’s a player I have played with for years and is a massive character on and off the pitch.
“He has a bulldog attitude when he’s on the pitch. He leaves everything out there.
“He wears his heart on his sleeve when he plays and it is a massive boost for the back end of the season.
“Off the pitch, he’s a big character and he will be good for the changing room.
“For Newark Town, it is a massive signing that will take us through to the end of the season.
“It is not often you get players who are good enough for step five to drop down.
“It’s a boost as well because Jammy know’s the club.
“He’s played for us before and he just wants to play football now and he will get the opportunity with us.”
Having been a key player in Flowserve’s cup and promotion winning campaign last term, the Newark midfielder has struggled for minutes this season, making just seven starts in his 18 appearances.
Lloyd is likely to make his league return for the Blues on February 22 against Dronfield Town Reserves.
