Cyclists took part in the sixth annual John Aslin memorial ride as they raised money for Beaumond House




The sixth annual running of the John Aslin Memorial ride took place as cyclists from Collingham Velo took off on the 75 mile ride from South Scarle Church to Harworth.

Along the way, the riders visited the memorial of Nottinghamshire’s most famous cycling son, Tom Simpson the former Tour of Flanders and world race champion before arriving at the Aslin family home.

18 cyclists took part including John’s daughter Jen.

The club and family friends of the Aslins raised £235 for Beamond House Hospice.
