Rainworth hold Newark Town to a draw at the YMCA in the United Counties League Division One

It was a decent performance for Newark Town Football Club but they were far from their best as the United Counties League Division One promotion contenders drew 1-1 at home against Rainworth.

The Blues were without their captain Lewis Chambers who was away and Alex Hales led the team out in front of 182 fans.

Rainworth who sit on the bottom of the table and are highly likely to be relegated at the end of the season got off to a flying start at the YMCA Newark and Sherwood Activity Village when they opened the scoring.

However, at full-time the score remained the same as it was in the break.
