Leigh Marshall of Newark Athletic Club competes in the Chester Half Marathon

Leigh Marshall earned himself his second England vest of the season when he raced in the Chester Half Marathon on Sunday.

The Newark Athletic Club ace finished in a time of 77 minutes and 49 seconds.

He was 25th from more than 5,500 runners and placed fourth in the V45 age category from 350 others in the race which was an England Athletics Masters Qualifier.

Club-mate Conor Pacey ran in the Mid Cheshire 5k on Friday night, coming 47th in 15.11.
