Newark Athletics club has success at the Holme Pierrepont Track championships

Several personal bests fell as members of Newark Athletics Club took to the track at Bingham for the Holme Pierrepont Track championships.

Eliott Smith-Rasmussen won the 400m in a time of 58.6 secs, setting a new personal best in the event.

He was followed by Leigh Marshall who also set his personal best in 62.0 seconds.

Smith-Rasmussen won the 800 m in a time of 2mins 5secs. Team-mate Jack Robinson was fifth 2-16.

Smith-Rasmussen also won the 1,500m in 4-11 followed by Conor Pacey (4-15) Jan Bailey (4-22), Marshall (4-31) and Helena Schofield (5.05.9).

Adrian Dix recorded a new personal best of 10-22 in the 3,000m.

Jan ran the Helena Tipping Wrexham 10k, in 33-15, coming in ninth place.
