Ollerton Town to be relegated at the end of the season in the Northern Counties East League as the news breaks during a big loss against Armthorpe Welfare
A football club has confirmed that its first team will be relegated next season.
Ollerton Town’s chairman Liam Kent broke the news at the game against Armthorpe Welfare on Saturday, (March 30) during which his side lost 9-0 in the Northern Counties East League Division One fixture.
It has been a hard time for the club over the last 18 months and the relegation news will come as little surprise to most after the team has managed to accrue just four points all season.
Ollerton had been down 3-0 at halftime at home in front of a crowd of over 100 people before the visitors managed to put six more goals on the scoresheet before the final whistle.
The Town will now travel to Glasshoughton Welfare for their next clash tomorrow, (Tuesday, April 2).
