Ollerton suffer a big loss in the rugby union while Bingham gain a huge win

A district team will be hoping to bounce back after a big loss.

Ollerton Rugby Club 1sts went down 75-0 on the road against Mosborough.

The side currently sits in ninth position in the Counties 3 Midlands East (North) competition.

Southwell Rugby Club had a mixed weekend as their 1st side travelled to Boston and lost 14-0.

The side is still looking for their first win of the season.

The 2nds defeated Melbourne 2nds 19-14 at home to the delight of the crowd.

Southwell's 3rd team, The Bandits stormed home on the road as they defeated Pavior Horns 31-10.

Bingham were happy with their efforts after their 1st team secured a ten-try win over Ashfield 2nd.

The final score was 62-14 and showcased a strong Bingham side who took it to the home team.

"This has come about after tremendous recruitment and players returning to the game," said club spokesman Chris Packer.

"The result has provided us with the great challenge of getting everyone game time.

"We are now looking to get a 2nd team on the pitch this season, something that was not on the agenda at the start of pre-season."
Bingham Rugby Club also announced that they have completed new ground works.

New posts on their pitch have been installed with assistance given by members of the club.

The club announced the news on their website and social media channels.
