It was a good win on the road for the side against a tough opposition and will build confidence for their match on Saturday when they are back on the road against Hinckley (kick-off 2.15pm).

The Southwell 3rds stepped up when their opponents Keyworth arrived with only three players due to a communication error.

The Bandits took it in their stride and effectively fielded a team for the opposition as they had the numbers to help.

The combined Keyworth and Bandits team won a narrow 27-26 contest over the home-fielded Bandits.

The 3rds will now travel to Mansfield on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Southwell Colts rounded out a productive weekend for the club as they ran out 41-12 winners over Boston.

A solid effort from Bingham 1sts was unable to make it seven wins in a row after they lost narrowly by 22-17 to Mellish.

It was a tough-fought contest that saw Bingham battle valiantly against a strong Mellish 2nd side.

The side will now host Nottingham Casuals on Saturday, (kick-off 2pm).

Ollerton 1sts went down 64-7 against Nottinghamians.

The side will host Paviors on Saturday.
