Battle for the top in the Newark and District Bowls League





The bowls season is now in full swing and there is a battle for the lead in the Newark and District Bowls League.

Southwell A are at the top of Division One by only half a point. They are on 18.5points after winning three of their four opening games.

Close behind, on 18 points, are Balderton, who have won one and lost two of their opening three fixtures.

Newark Northern are third on 13 points with Lowdham (12.5 points) and Flowserve (one point) completing the table.

In Division Two Newark Town have won their first four games and are ten points clear of Belvedere who are in second position on 15 points.

Completing the table are Collingham (12 points) Sherwood (10) and Southwell B (one point).

Collingham will play Newark Town in the first competition final of the season – the TSB Trophy at Collingham on Friday, August 26.
