FIA World Endurance Championship debut ahead for Tom Gamble at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
Teenage racer Tom Gamble said he could not wait to get behind wheel as he prepares for his championship debut.
Nineteen-year-old Gamble continues his busy race season this weekend in Spa, Belgium, in the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIAWEC).
Gamble starts his debut season at the 6 Hours of Spa Francorchamps with GR Racing — the first of six races that takes him across Europe and Asia.
The Epperstone’s driver’s office for the season will be the GR Racing Porsche 911 RSR GTE, a supercar in its own right.
He will pilot the #86 Porsche 911 in the GT AM class as silver driver alongside the team principal and driver Mike Wainwright and World Endurance regular gold-rated driver Ben Barker.
Gamble arrived at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps last weekend and took part in prologue testing on Monday and Tuesday.
The team's results in full:
Monday PM — 7th fastest in LMGTE Am class
