The Jellyman's Daughter join 2021 Gate To Southwell Festival line-up
The latest act to be added to the this year’s Gate To Southwell Festival line-up is the genre defying duo The Jellyman’s Daughter.
The acoustic pairing are described as a cross between bluegrass, post-rock, folk and soul.
The Jellyman’s Daughter — Emily Kelly and Graham Coe — write songs that mix their intimate vocal harmonies with wild and visceral cello, driving guitar and sweet mandolin, complimented by banjo (Jamie Francis) and double bass (Herbie Loening).
The pair met in Edinburgh over a love of music and song-writing.
They released their debut self-titled album in 2014 and followed it up in 2018 with Dead Reckoning.
The Jellyman’s Daughter join a host of other acts on the Gate To Southwell Festival bill, including Gigspanner Big Band, Spiers And Boden, Anxo Lorenzo Band, Chris Wood, and Edgelarks.
The festival has moved to a new date and location for 2021, having been cancelled last year.
It will now take place September 2-5 at a lakeside parkland in Kirklington.
Early bird tickets are on sale now.
