Saint-Saëns’ Carnival Of The Animals is family concert at Southwell Music Festival
Youngsters are being encouraged to come in fancy dress and wear their favourite animal masks at Southwell Music Festival’s family concert.
This year’s concert will be a special performance of Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival Of The Animals.
It takes place at Minster School on Saturday, August 29, at 11am.
Tickets are £8 for adults, free for under-13s.
As well as listening to the performance, it is a chance to discover more about the music and instruments and meet the talented musicians.
Tickets are now on sale for all Southwell Music Festival concerts, which take place at venues throughout the town from August 25-30.
Other highlights include Bach Magnificat in the nave of Southwell Minster on Saturday, August 28, which also includes the Fourth Brandenburg concerto and other Bach treats.
There is also a festival opera gala in the nave on Wednesday, August 25.
Jazz, folk, and chamber music also feature as part of the five-year festival, which returns after a gap of a year because of coronavirus.
