Bringing a touch of glamour to game fair

Women visiting this year’s CLA Game Fair at Belvoir Castle, from July 20 to 22, will get a chance to add a touch more glamour to the event with the launch of The Lady’s Day.

In conjunction with The Lady magazine, it takes place on the Saturday when the best dressed woman will be awarded a prize of two tickets on the Orient Express.

Fashion-spotters from CLA, The Lady, including social etiquette editor Thomas Blaikie, and the Orient Express will circulate the fair site to invite potential winners to The Lady’s stand for the judging competition that afternoon.

Those selected can attend a talk by Thomas Blaikie on fashion for special events. Nominated women will receive complimentary badges to the CLA members’ enclosure.

Prizes will be awarded to the most elegantly dressed in the following categories:

l The Social Lady — stylishly dressed for a special event. The prize is a £250 voucher to spend at Basler.

l The Country Lady — practically but elegantly dressed for a day in the British countryside. The prize is a £250 voucher for The Really Wild Clothing Company.

l The Lady — the woman judged to be the best dressed out of The Social Lady and The Country Lady will win a pair of tickets for the Venice Simplon-Orient Express from Venice to London.
