Full cast announced for Agatha Christie’s Murder on The Orient Express at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal
The full cast has been announced as Agatha Christie’s famous Belgian detective returns to the stage.
A new production of the Ken Ludwig’s adaptation of the Agatha Christie classic Murder on the Orient Express, by Lucy Bailey, will be at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal from Tuesday, April 1, to Saturday, April 5, 2025 as part of a UK and Ireland tour.
Set in winter 1934, the story follows the murder of an American tycoon, who lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside.
Michael Maloney stars as detective Hercule Poirot — who must crack the case after an avalanche stops the Orient Express dead in its tracks, and the passengers are trapped in the snow with a killer still on board.
Joining Maloney will be Bob Barrett as Monsieur Bouc, Mila Carter as Countess Elena Andreyni, Rebecca Charles as Greta Ohlsonn, Debbie Chazen as Princess Dragomiroff, Simon Cotton as Samuel Ratchett, Jean-Baptiste Fillon as Michel, Christine Kavanagh as Helen Hubbard, Paul Keating as Hector MacQueen, Iniki Mariano as Mary Debenham, Rishi Rian as The Colonel and Alex Stedman as Head Waiter.
Also in the cast are Jasmine Raymond and Beth Tuckey.
Murder on the Orient Express is one of Agatha Christie’s greatest literary achievements, with a final twist that is amongst her very best.
Gripping, tense and masterfully cryptic, this brand-new production promises a deliciously thrilling ride and an ingenious murder mystery, guaranteed to keep audiences guessing until the end of the line.
