Cinema offers much more than movies
It’s not just films that can be seen at the cinema these days – there’s also the best in theatre, ballet, opera and music.
From Tuesday Odeon Newark will show a selection of alternative content, ranging from music to the arts, as part of a season of performances from Odeon Culture Plus.
Guests can indulge their passion for culture and music, and soak up the atmosphere with front row seats at key events throughout the year – from the latest sold-out National Theatre Live productions to opera and ballet.
The latest state-of-the-art sound and digital technology means a crystal clear performance.
The line-up at odeon Newark includes The Royal Ballet’s productions of Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty and The Winter’s Tale.
The programme kicks-off with The Royal Opera House’s Turandot Live, Puccini’s final opera.
Odeon general manager Gareth Edwards said: “Whether it‘s the opportunity to see a world famous opera, sold-out theatre performance or ballet production, Odeon Culture Plus gives everyone access to an exciting schedule of alternative content.”
Previous events screened at Odeon cinemas have included Last Night of the Proms and live opera from the Royal Opera House and performances by the National Theatre and Royal Ballet.
