The Harley Gallery, based on Nottinghamshire Welbeck Estate, will be showcasing the art of Ian Kirkpatrick in his ICONOCLASH exhibition, from October 26 until January 5.

People of all ages are invited to engage with the colourful, playful pieces filled with infographics, emojis, and contemporary hieroglyphs.

Drawing together symbols from diverse sources, such as cartoons and cave art, the British-Canadian artist tells his own stories using ornate and layered artworks, featuring these familiar symbols that reflect a search for meaning in a world of increasing uncertainty.

Visitors can expect to have their viewpoints challenged by large-scale sculptures, enormous quilted wall pieces, digital artworks and embroideries, which tell stories of migration, war, climate change and consumerism.
