Delving into history

Brave-hearted people are being sought to go down in Nottingham’s City Of Caves on Saturday to explore the unknown.

Led by professional medium Maria Davey, those taking part will be guided through a maze of some of the city’s oldest caves where there is a chance they might witness the spirit of a young boy climbing a well or discover the ghostly residents of Nottingham’s oldest Victorian slum, Drury Hill.

Organisers say that although they cannot guarantee people will see a ghost, they may experience paranormal shocks, sounds and unexplained sensations.

Maria, who aims to take some of the hysteria out of hauntings, will also give a history talk about the spirits that exist in the City Of Caves.
