Duo’s shows fit for royalty
Popular cabaret duo Jeanius And Whitt have joined forces again after a year’s break to take their show on the road to raise money for charity.
Dubbed the Royal Variety Performance (weather permitting) Jean Robinson and Tony Whittaker, both from Newark, will be promoting local talent.
The first show of their 2010 season takes place in the North Muskham Community Centre on Friday, March 5, at 7.30pm, with proceeds going to St Wilfred’s Church in the village.
Tony said: “We will be supported by local artists appearing alongside us, representing music, dance and comedy.
“This is a new venture for Jeanius And Whitt and we are looking forward to taking our unique style of entertainment on the road.
“There will be lots of surprises in store for the audience so expect the unexpected.”
Jean said: “We will be raising money for various local charities and good causes.
“This event is the first in a series of shows to be presented at several village venues in the Newark and surrounding area on a monthly basis.”
Tickets, priced £8, are available from Jean on 01636 700984, Cheryl Patterson on 01636 705517 or North Muskham Village Shop.
