Visitors to Patchings Art Centre at Calverton are being treated to two free exhibitions — one by Jeremy Barlow and the other by the Nottingham Flickr Group.

The first can be seen in the Barn Gallery until May 27 and is by Jeremy, a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.

Having just completed a display of new work at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in London, the internationally renowned artist is showing work of some of his favourite painting locations.

The second is in the Pavilion Gallery until May 27 and is called Connected. It features digital images projected alongside print, digital and analogue work presenting photography as an art form open to all.

A preview with presentations takes place at a grand launch on Saturday from 10am.

Art centre owner Chas Wood said: “This is a welcome return for the Nottingham Flickr Group, who once again are set to astound us with their use of the camera — a display where the camera creates a piece of art.

“There is a chance to meet the photographers behind the images and hear from special guest speakers Doug Chinnery and Pete Bridgwood.”
