Fireworks explosion at stately home

Lord Byron’s stately home will be lit up in a blaze of glory for a spectacular fireworks display.

The event in the grounds of Newstead Abbey on Saturday features three pyrotechnic artists competing against each other.

First Galaxy, Britannia and Alchemy will try to outdo each other with amazing displays in aid of My Sight Nottinghamshire, which works to support the county’s blind and partially-sighted people.

Gates open at 6pm for families to have picnics before the fireworks begin at 9.15pm. Music will be provided by Patrick Cunningham and James Dalby.
