The TV entertainment icon, Bernie Clifton, known for Crackerjack, coming to Terry O’Toole Theatre, on Moor Lane, North Hykeham, Lincoln, on November 23

The TV entertainment icon, Bernie Clifton, is also heading out on tour to telling stories from his 60-year career in showbusiness.

He will be be popping up at the Terry O’Toole Theatre, on Moor Lane, North Hykeham, Lincoln, on Saturday, November 23, at 7.30pm.

Bernie first appeared on TV screens in 1971 when he featured on The Good Old Days with his popular puppet costume, Oswald the Ostrich, but became a household name as a frequent performer on the BBC’s Crackerjack.

Over the years he has also starred in numerous Royal Variety Performances, between 1979 and 2016, and more recently, he has presented shows on BBC Radio 4, and appeared alongside eight other showbusiness legends from the 1960s, 70s and 80s in ITV’s five-episode series, Last Laugh in Vegas.

Bernie’s touring show follows the release of his autobiography, Crackerjack to Vegas, which takes readers on a journey through his illustrious career.

During the production, Bernie will entertain audiences with his legendary wit, alongside stories from his book, covering everything from the early days of Crackerjack right through to the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas.

Ahead of his visit, Bernie said, “I’m really looking forward to visiting the Terry O’Toole this November with my one man show, to celebrate my 88th year on Earth.

“I’ll be telling audiences stories from my 60-year show business journey, from a singing plumber to a standing ovation in Las Vegas. Come along and join me.”
