Busking sensation Cam Cole, who made cameo on Ted Lasso, to play The Bodega at Nottingham
One-man-band busking sensation Cam Cole is taking his heavy blues and rock-and-roll show from the street to the stage for his first UK tour.
Internet videos of his street performances in London have been seen and shared by more than 7m people online.
He also had a cameo appearance in the Golden Globe-nominated Apple TV show Ted Lasso.
On his tour, which includes a date at Nottingham’s Bodega on Wednesday, he will play tracks from his two albums, I See and Crooked Hill.
Multiple viral internet videos, a rapidly increasing following from all over the world, a well received debut album, international tours planned — everything was set up for London busker Cam Cole to make the move from the street to the stage.
And then the world came to a standstill.
What could have killed any momentum he had, Cam turned into an opportunity to connect with the fans he had gathered.
Cam stayed in touch and visible with his Sounds From The Van video series, streamed directly from his van rehearsal room.
He also released a live album recorded on the streets of Camden before the pandemic.
