Gardens inspire artwork

Local artists are set to showcase their work with an exhibition at Easton Walled Gardens this summer.

On display from August 21 to 26, from 11am to 4pm, the Inspired By Easton exhibition will feature works from people who meet monthly to capture the beautiful gardens using a range of techniques including sketch and paint.

Val Littlewood, who runs the group, said: “We are a small group of artists who meet once a month to sketch, paint, print, experiment and create. Our inspiration comes from many aspects of the gardens: the architecture, flora and fauna and ever-changing seasonal vistas.

“It is an enormous pleasure to be able to work in such tranquil and beautiful surroundings. Every month something is different and some other aspect is revealed. For an artist, whatever your discipline there is wealth.”
