Get ready to party in three nights of musical tributes at Lincoln's New Theatre Royal
Get ready to rock n roll at the New Theatre Royal in Lincoln tomorrow night as a Buddy Holly and the Cricketers tribute comes to town.
Thirty years on from their first visit to the city, the group will be back to authentically replicate Buddy Holly in sound, mannerisms and interaction.
The show presents authentic arrangements, driving rhythms, energetic performances, and wonderful musicianship, all delivered with charm and humour.
Show producer Simon Fielder performed in the original Buddy Holly Story UK tour and West End production.
He said: “Our audiences are a great mix of ages and the show just keeps growing in popularity.
“It seems that Buddy’s music— and rock and roll— really will never die.”
Tributes will continue on Saturday as Genesis Connected celebrates the sound of Genesis and its members’ solo careers.
The show features a wide range of songs, including multiple chart-toppers such as Turn it On Again, Slegdehammer, In The Air Tonight,You Can’t Hurry Love, The Living Years, and more.
Rock anthems will keep on coming on Sunday when The Ultimate Classic Rock Show takes to the theatre stage.
The show will include two hours of classic rock anthems, including music by Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Queen, performed by one of the best tribute acts the genre has to offer.
Comedian Shaparak Khorsandi will also be at the theatre the following Thursday as part of her It Was The 90s tour— the era where there was nothing to be done but party.
