The Three Musketeers outdoor production comes to Southwell Minster’s Palace Gardens
Swashbuckling tale The Three Musketeers is to be brought to life on the lawns of Southwell Minster.
The story, written by Alexandre Dumas, is told in the Palace Gardens on Saturday, June 14, from 6pm. Gates open at 5pm.
When young D’Artagnan travels to Paris to join the Musketeers he uncovers a plot to discredit Queen Anne in the eyes of King Louis XIII and the country.
With Athos, Porthos and Aramis, D’Artagnan must help to defeat the evil Cardinal Richelieu and Milady de Winter, but their quest will not be easy.
This Is My Theatre bring this action-filled adventure to life in a dynamic and hilarious staging of the novel, packed with song, suspense and plenty of sword fights.
Bring your own low backed chairs or picnic rugs.
Another legend is celebrated at the minster on Friday, June 13, as part of the Friday Lunchtime Concert series.
Bingham and District Choral Society will be performing the Songs and Legends of Robin Hood from 1.30pm to 2.15pm.
Admission is free but there is a retiring collection for the minster’s Milo Chorister Fund which helps support the Cathedral Chorister Programme.
