It is her first such tour, and she promises plenty of laughter and possibly a few tears.

After finishing runner-up to the Jack Russell, Su found fame as scatty chalet maid Peggy in the television comedy Hi-de-Hi!

She has since appeared in numerous other television shows and more than 30 stage shows and musicals, and many pantomimes.

Direct from the US, the American Four Tops come to the Palace on Saturday for a evening of Motown.

With their original harmonies and the high-stepping dance routines, the band will perform the hits of the Four Tops, including Reach Out, Baby I Need Your Loving, Walk Away Renee, Same Old Song and Loco In Acalpulco.

But they will also sing other classic hits from the golden Motown era, including songs from the Temptations, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Marvin Gaye, and Ben E. King.

The Rat Pack of opera, Tenors Unlimited, take the audience through hits from a host of musical icons, ranging from Pavarotti to Freddie Mercury, at the Palace on Friday, March 4.

Their show, That’s Amore, mixes popular classics mixed with crooner and pop favourites.

The Tenor Unlimited — Scott, Paul and Jem — have been performing for 15 years and have worked alongside acts such as Sting, Lionel Richie, Beyoncé, Hayley Westenra, Simply Red and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
