Jack Savoretti to play Sherwood Pines concert in June
Singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti has been announced as the final headline act for this year’s Sherwood Pines concerts.
He will play the Edwinstowe venue on Sunday, June 30.
Fellow headliners Jess Glynne and Paul Weller had already been announced for Friday, June 28, and Saturday, June 29, respectively.
Savoretti was already performing for Forest Live at Tetbury and Cannock Chase, put has now added Sherwood Pines to his outdoor shows.
Jack Savoretti has added an extra date as part of Forest Live, the summer concert series organised by the Forestry Commission.
He is due to release his sixth studio album, Singing To Strangers on March 15.
Recorded in Rome at Ennio Morricone’s studio, the 12-track album features co-writes with both Bob Dylan and Kylie Minogue.
The album is a follow-up to two gold discs —Written in Scars from 2014 and 2016’s Sleep No More.
The Forest Live gig will see Jack and his band play material from his new album, including latest single and BBC Radio 2’s record of the week, Candlelight, along with classic Savoretti tracks.
The support act will be The Wandering Hearts.
Forest Live is a major outdoor live music series held every summer by Forestry Commission England in seven forests.
