Living life as a dictator

Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat, Bruno) is back in his latest comic guise that sees him play an evil tyrant with more than just a passing resemblance to Colonel Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein in The Dictator (15).

This tongue-in-cheek portrayal of ‘a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed’ uses the same brand of shocking comedy that’s made Cohen infamous throughout the world.

Directed by Larry Charles it also stars Anna Faris (Scary Movie 5) and John C. Reilly (Carnage).

The Dictator can be seen at Newark’s Odeon Cinema.
