More than 100 potters from the UK and Europe gather this weekend for the Earth And Fire Ceramic Show at Rufford Abbey.

From Friday, June 24, to Sunday, June 26, there will be free pottery demonstrations and illustrated talks. Potters will reveal how to make a teapot, use a potter’s wheel and build a ceramic Jabberwocky — the beast from Lewis Carroll’s poem Alice Through The Looking Glass.

Neik Hoogland from Holland, who has exhibited at all 16 previous festivals, will make a welcome return.

He will be joined by newcomers Reyaz Badarruddin and Sonali Bolar, who have made a special trip from New Delhi to take part.

Six ceramic graduates will showcase their creations.
