Queen tribute band Mercury to play the New Theatre Royal, Lincoln
Tribute is paid to the music of Queen and their frontman when Mercury comes the New Theatre Royal, Lincoln, next week.
Led by Newark’s Joseph Lee Jackson in the role of Freddie Mercury, the band will pack in performances of their greatest hits, including Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio Ga Ga, We Are The Champions, and We Will Rock You.
They are at the venue on Friday, July 30.
Mercury, which also features Glenn Scrimshaw in the Brian May role, have been performing for 20 years.
They have established themselves as one of the world’s most authentic tribute bands to Freddie Mercury and Queen, even gaining plaudits from Freddie Mercury’s mother, Jer Bulsara.
The songs are brought together in a dynamic stage show with spectacular costumes, dramatic lighting and a hugely energetic performance.
Also at the New Theatre Royal next week is The History Of Rock, on July 31.
A celebration of rock through the decades, it features music from Led Zeppelin, Cream, Guns n Roses, AC/DC and more, performed by an eight-piece band.
