Queen tribute act Mercury to play outdoor concert at Belvoir Castle
With live music a rarity in these times of change, Belvoir Castle is putting on two outdoor socially-distanced nights at the end of August.
The Concert At The Castle weekend of top popular live acts has Queen tribute band Mercury — featuring Newark’s own Joseph Lee Jackson as Freddie — headlining on Saturday, August 29, while the following night will see a Dolly Parton tribute act topping the bill.
Support on the Saturday will be Roustabout, an Elvis tribute group, with Sunday’s opening act yet to be announced.
To adhere to government guidelines, Belvoir Castle has introduced picnic pitches in front of the stage. Select your group pitch ticket from the following — up to two, four or six people. Pitches cannot exceed six people and are spaced two metres apart to ensure social distancing.
Pitch and seating choice will be on a first come first served basis on the evening of the event. All members of the group must arrive together.
Gates open from 5pm, with DJs starting from 6pm and bands from 7pm.
The event will close at 11.30pm.
