Record ticket sales reported for Gate To Southwell Festival
The organisers of the Gate To Southwell Festival are reporting record sales so far for this year’s event as fans rush to get their fix after the 2020 cancellation.
The four-day festival returns this year with a new date and venue.
It is due to take place at Kirklington from September 2 to 5.
More than 30 internationally diverse music acts have already been booked for the long-awaited 14th Gate To Southwell Festival, with more to follow.
They include London ska stars Maroon Town, singer-songwriter Reg Meuross, Devonian traditional folk duo Harbottle & Jonas and ex-Bellowhead lynchpins Spiers & Boden.
They join an eclectic bill of high calibre artists such as The Anxo Lorenzo Band, The Young’uns, The Gigspanner Big Band, The Breath, Imar, Chris Wood, Edgelarks, The Henry Girls, Wizz Jones, Knight & Spiers, Track Dogs and much more.
As well as the music, there will be other usual festival attractions, including family entertainment, food and craft stalls, a beer and cider festival, open mic and other events.
Before its cancellation last year, the festival took place near Southwell Racecourses.
Buses will run from Southwell to the new venue.
Although early bird tickets are already sold out, discounted weekend and day tickets are available via the website.
