Poetry in motion

A poetry event takes place at Gannets Bistro in Newark a week tomorrow as part of the Nottingham Festival Of Words.

Hearty Food And Heartfelt Words is the only event taking place in the town and features entertainment from three poets — Fiona Theokritoff, of Newark, Jane Wyles, of Gunthorpe, and Roy Marshall, of Leicester — and a meal, starting at 7.30pm.

Roy was second in Nottingham’s Open Poetry contest last year.

Tickets are almost sold out. A few are still available but need to be booked though the venue.
