Wizard Of Oz immersive theatre experience coming to Rufford Country Park
An immersive theatre experience is coming to Rufford County Park.
From June 2 to June 12, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of the Wizard of Oz, complete with dance, music and comedy.
The classic tale of Dorothy’s journey to Oz, and the friends she meets along the way, will be told as the audience walks through the woodland surrounding Rufford Abbey, near Ollerton.
Harry Hindley, producer and director, said: “After such a hard year for the entertainment industry it gives me pure joy to bring this wonderful production to my home town in Nottinghamshire.
“Not only are we encouraging families to step down the yellow brick road in this immersive production, but creating work for actors, whom the pandemic has been extremely difficult and affected many.”
Guided by Dorothy herself, the audience will be taken down the yellow brick road through a magical forest meeting the beloved characters during the adventure.
The experience is suitable for all ages, including children aged five and over.
It requires walking through forested areas.
