Robin Hood festival a hit

Thousands of visitors have been busy flocking to this year’s Robin Hood Festival, which is on at the Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve, Edwinstowe, until Sunday.

Youngsters have been able to meet Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men at the annual event. Thomas Strong, 6, of Ruddington, was one of those who tried his hand at archery with Robin and the Sheriff of Nottingham.

The event features jousting, falconry displays, archery, a medieval rat catcher, musicians and entertainers.
