Much Ado About Nothing to be performed at Newark Castle

Shakespeare comes to Newark Castle next week with a performance of Much Ado About Nothing.

It is staged in the castle grounds on Thursday (August 11) by The Pantaloons.

There’s plenty to shout about in The Pantaloons’ take on Shakespeare’s timeless summer comedy of masks, music and mistaken identities.

The boys are back from war and it’s time for celebration, but devious Don John plans to spoil everyone’s fun with his perilous plots.

Will young lovers Claudio and Hero fall foul of the crafty criminal? Will bickering Benedick and Beatrice ever admit that they actually like each other?

Find out in this fast-paced, physical and funny new production.

Please bring a picnic and something to sit on.

It is the latest production to be staged in the grounds as part of Palace At The Castle.

Still to come is The Jungle Book on August 17, Alice In Wonderland on August 23, and Pirates Of Penzance on September 2.
