Show looks at nurses at work in wartime

A new production from Vamos Theatre is coming to Village Ventures — the rural and community touring scheme in Nottinghamshire.
Nursing Lives is based on the true stories of nurses, doctors and patients. It marks the expertise and escapades of nurses at work and play during the second world war.
The show combines visual inventiveness, music, song, physical theatre and 1940s dance sequences and is seen through the eyes of Florence, a long retired nurse.
It will be staged at Eastwood Theatre on Thursday, September 16, a week today at 7pm and at Southwell Library on Friday, September 17, at 7.30pm.
