Jake Bugg announces hometown gig at Nottingham Rock City in support of new album, Saturday Night, Sunday Morning
Following the release of his euphoric single All I Need, Jake Bugg has announced the release of his fifth album and accompanying 17-date UK tour.
Saturday Night, Sunday Morning will be released on August 20.
It will be followed by a tour early next year, including a hometown gig at Nottingham’s Rock City on March 30.
Bugg, who grew up on the Clifton estate, started playing the guitar aged 12.
Now 27, the singer-songwriter has four hit albums and numerous hit singles to his name.
After being selected to perform on the BBC Introducing stage at the Glastonbury Festival, aged only 16, in 2011, he released his self-titled debut album the following year.
It went to number one in the UK charts.
It was followed by Shangri La, On My One and Hearts That Strain, released in 2017.
Bugg says Saturday Night, Sunday Morning was “the most fun he’s ever had making a record”.
Next year’s tour sees him back on the road after his tour last year was ended by the coronavirus lockdown after nine sold-out concerts.
