Jasper Carrott, Shark In The Park and The Shires on the line-up at Newark Palace Theatre

More news, no ads

Comedian Jasper Carrott has again teamed up with the Bev Bevan Band for another evening of music and laughter at the Palace Theatre in Newark on Wednesday.

This time they are also joined by special guest Andy Bennett for the show, Jasper Carrott’s Stand-up And Rock.

As well as Carrott’s stand-up comedy, it will feature music from Bev Bevan, founding member of the Electric Light Orchestra and The Move, and his band, and Bennett, former guitarist with Ocean Colour Scene.

There’s a half-term treat for children at the Palace a week today with the popular show Shark In The Park at 2pm.

Timothy Pope is looking through his telescope — but wait, is that a shark, in the park?

From the creative team behind The Hairy Maclary Show it is the chance to see all three of Nick Sharratt’s Shark In The Park books live on stage.

The musical performances bring to life Shark In The Park, Shark In The Dark and Shark In The Park On A Windy Day.

The UK’s best-selling country act The Shires will be bringing their blend of vocals and beautifully written songs to the Palace a week tomorrow.

The date is part of a series of intimate acoustic gigs this autumn by the duo, Crissie Rhodes and Ben Earle.

Formed in 2013, their debut album, Brave, was the first by a UK country act to make the top-ten of the UK album chart.

They promise an uplifting evening of music.
