The Steps musical, Here and Now, to call at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal on Uk and Ireland tour

The sounds of pop sensation Steps and a story of summertime love collide in a brand-new musical.

Here and Now, presented by Steps, will visit the Theatre Royal, Nottingham, from Tuesday, November 11, to Sunday, November 16, on a tour of the UK and Ireland.

Featuring Steps’ most beloved hit songs, Here and Now follows the story of Caz as the summer of love she and her friends dreamed of suddenly feels like a tragedy.

It's Friday night, the vibe is right, and everyone's dancing in the aisles at seaside superstore Better Best Bargains — but when it’s discovered the shelves are stocked with lies and betrayal, have they all lost their chance of a happy ever after, or does love have other plans in store?

Lara Denning stars as Caz, Jacqui Dubois as Vel, Blake Patrick Anderson as Robbie, Rosie Singha as Neeta, River Medway as Jem, Chris Grahamson as Gareth, Edward Baker-Duly as Max, Ben Darcy as Ben, John Stacey as Lesley and Lauren Woolf as Tracey, with casting for the role of Patricia still to be confirmed.

The musical is produced by Steps — made up of Claire Richards, Faye Tozer, Ian ‘H’ Watkins, Lee Latchford-Evans and Lisa Scott-Lee — and ROYO with Pete Waterman, and their hit singles Tragedy, Stomp, One For Sorrow, Better Best Forgotten, 5,6,7,8, Last Thing On My Mind, Love’s Got A Hold On My Heart, and Chain Reaction, will feature in the musical alongside many more.

It is directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, with choreography by Olivier Award-winning Matt Cole, and Matt Spencer-Smith as musical supervisor, orchestrator and arranger.
