Lionel Richie to play outdoor gig at Victoria Embankment, Nottingham
International star Lionel Richie is to play an outdoor concert on the Victoria Embankment at Nottingham. He is expected to play to a capacity 18,000 crowd on Friday, June 11, next year.
The American crooner will be performing some of his extensive back catalogue, such as Endless Love, Hello, Easy, All Night Long, Dancing On The Ceiling, and Say You, Say Me.
His song catalogue also includes his early work with The Commodores in the 1970s, such as Three Times A Lady and Still.
Richie is one of only two songwriters in history to achieve number one records for nine consecutive years.
Richie has sold more than 100m albums worldwide, and has received an Oscar, Golden Globe, and four Grammy Awards.
He recently received the Ivor Novello PRS for Music Special International Award.
His most recent All The Hits, All Night Long tour saw Richie play to sold-out arenas worldwide.
Tickets cost £67.50 for general admission.
