A tale of joy, revolution and community, Fiddler on the Roof comes to Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall
A critically acclaimed production of musical Fiddler on the Roof is heading to Nottingham on tour.
Following a sold-out season at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre last year, the show is set for a summer season at London’s Barbican Theatre before a major UK and Ireland tour.
A tale of joy, revolution and community, Fiddler on the Roof is an exuberant celebration of love and life, and will be on stage at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall from August 18-23.
Set in 1905 in the tiny village of Anatevka, Tevye, a Jewish milkman, must choose between holding on to his roots, or bending to the will of his children and learning to embrace the unfamiliar.
Each of his five daughters challenges his beliefs, against the backdrop of a changing world.
The score features hit songs including ‘If I Were A Rich Man’, ‘Tradition’, ‘Matchmaker’ and ‘Sunrise, Sunset’.
The production is led by director Jordan Fein (Oklahoma, Young Vic), choreographer Julia Cheng (Cabaret) and designer Tom Scutt (Winner of the 2024 Tony Award for Cabaret), with casting to be announced soon.
