Celestial and Yuup’s drone light show of A Christmas Carol to be held at Trent Bridge, Nottingham
A traditional Christmas tale will be transformed into a cinematic drone light show this winter.
Following the success of epic drone light show, Evolution, in Nottingham last year, the creators Celestial and Yuup are back with another epic-scale immersive event.
Hundreds of drones will light up the the night sky, on Saturday, December 7, to take audiences on a mesmerising journey through Christmas’s past, present and future in A Christmas Carol.
Charles Dickens’ timeless classic will come to life in a way never seen before as the famous characters are brought to life above Trent Bridge cricket ground, Nottingham.
John Hopkins, Celestial’s founder and chief executive said: “A Christmas Carol is a beloved tale that has been endlessly retold across various genres. This time, it is uniquely presented through drone art, elevating it beyond a traditional drone light show to an epic, stadium-scale experience. This innovative artistic medium brings audiences together through a shared sense of wonder to celebrate a universal story of human transformation.”

Gates will open at 3.30pm, with food and drink outlets serving a variety of refreshments and a live DJ playing ahead of the show starting at 5.30pm.
