Big Girls Don’t Cry and The Rocket Man tributes Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and Elton John come to Nottingham Playhouse




They may have rocketed to worldwide stardom 60 years ago, but the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons is still proving popular today.

Tribute is paid to their music with the internationally-acclaimed Big Girls Don’t Cry show at Nottingham Playhouse on Saturday (July 29).

Over 130 minutes, the New Jersey band’s million-selling hits will be authentically recreated and celebrated by the cast.

It includes Sherry, December 1963 (Oh What A Night) Walk Like A Man, Rag Doll and Big Girls Don’t Cry.

It also showcases Frankie’s incredible falsetto, and features his solo hits like Grease, Let’s Hang On, Working My Way Back to You, Beggin’, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, and Who Loves You.

There is another tribute act at the Playhouse tomorrow night (July 28) when The Rocket Man flies in the celebrate the music of Sir Elton John.

The flambouyant megstar’s act is recreated on stage by Jimmy Lov using dazzling costumes, stunning vocals and piano solos.

He takes the audience on a two-hour journey though Elton John’s biggest hits, including Saturday Night’s Alright, Crocodile Rock, I Guess That’s Why They Call it the Blues, Daniel, I’m Still Standing, Philadelphia Freedom, and Your Song.
