Newark Palace Theatre welcomes tribute acts to musical greats including Taylor Swift, Tom Jones, and Jimi Hendrix in May
Tribute is to be paid to musical greats accross the decades, as Newark’s Palace Theatre prepares to raise the roof in May.
Starting off right with a gag or two is The Comedy Store, on Saturday, May 3.
Then it’s time to Shake It Off — as Taylor Swift tribute act Katy Ellis pays tribute the the American icon’s Eras Tour in her show Taylormania.
The show features all of Taylor’s much loved hits including; Shake It Off, Blank Space, Love Story, You Belong With Me, Look What You Made Me Do, I Knew You Were Trouble — and Katy aims to get Swifties singing and dancing along.
It will be at the venue on Friday, May 9.
On Saturday, May 10 The Magic Of the Bee Gees will arrive at the Palace, direct from London’s West End.
It's time to put on your dancing shoes and groove along to Night Fever, Stayin’ Alive, More Than a Woman and many more in this spectacular tribute act — ensuring the Bee Gees’ sound is stayin’ alive.
The next day, Sunday, May 11, folk rock band Steeleye Span drop in on their tour, fresh from their 55th anniversary year.
Classics from Les Mis, Phantom, South Pacific, Jersey Boys, Dear Evan Hansen, Jesus Christ Superstar, Greatest Showman, Miss Saigon, Chess, Book of Mormon, Lion King, Aspects of Love, We Will Rock You and more will be brought to town by G4 on May 13.
