True-to-life comedy
Three bedrooms in the 1970s form the setting for the Alan Ayckbourn play, Bedroom Farce. There’s the chintz bedroom of Delia and Ernest, the run-down bedroom of young Malcolm and Kate and the ordinary looking bedroom of Nick and Jan.
Unfortunately all three see the arrival of arguing couple Trevor and Susannah, making one evening a total disaster.
This true-to-life tale on until Saturday, September 18, is full of laughs.
Fun-loving couple Malcolm (Ayden Callaghan) and Kate (Julia Mallam) decide to throw a party where Trevor and Susannah come to blows.
Nick (Maxwell Caulfield) pictured, has hurt his back and is in bed while his wife Jan (Clare Wilkie) goes to the party to meet old boyfriend Trevor. Delia (Juliet Mills) and Ernest (Bruce Montague) realise their son, Trevor (Oliver Boot) is having marital problems. Their daughter-in-law Susannah (Natasha Alderslade) drops by for some advice.
Directed by Peter Hall this is a fast and furious production featuring a superb cast — DAB.
