UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue will play a gig at Sherwood Pines this summer.

The band will play a selection of hits including Red Red Wine, Please Don't Make Me Cry, Kingston Town and (I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You on Sunday, June 24.

They will also play material from their new album, A Real Labour of Love, which is released on March 2.

UB40 are Britain's most successful reggae band.

The gig is part of Forest Live, an annual series of concerts organised by the Forestry Commission.

UB40 featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey were most recently in the area last June when they were the headline act on the Saturday night of the Newark Festival.

Ali Campbell said: "We love the Forest Live gigs. We hope to see you there, so you can join in with the hits in such a beautiful location."

Tickets, costing £39.50 (plus £4.45 booking fee) are available from 9am on Friday from the Forestry Commission box office on 03000 680400, or at forestry.gov.uk/music
