Using their little grey cells

A large and appreciative audience at The Reading Rooms, Ewerby, enjoyed a murder and mystery presentation by the Southwell Theatre Club entitled Heirs And Disgraces on Saturday night (Feb 27).

The company of seven players acted out the scenario during which the elderly patriarch was murdered.

After a supper for all, the players mingled with the audience endeavouring to assist them or put them off the scent of deciding who actually “dunnit.”

A cameo performance from David Keene as the intrepid Hercule Poirot guided the audience through the clues in true Agatha Christie style.

He eventually revealed that the Land Army girl who was intending to marry the victim, a rich, old gentleman, was in fact the culprit.

Many members of the audience rose to the challenge and dressed themselves in their finery reminiscent of the period — JW.
