Whistlestop tour of cabaret music
The glamorous musical double act, Shoo Shoo Baby, take a whistlestop tour of cabaret’s scandalous and illustrious past.
The show — An Entire History Of Cabaret — will be presented in Leadenham Hall 2000 a week tomorrow (Feb 27) at 7.30pm, as part of the Lincolnshire rural and community touring scheme. It is suitable for anyone aged nine and over.
Anna Braithwaite and Tanya Holt are two classically-trained opera singers who perform a diverse collection of songs by Marilyn Monroe, Velvet Underground, Eartha Kitt and Elvis Presley.
Accompanied on the piano by Michael Roulston, the girls lead the audience through the French Revolution, the smoky subversion of Berlin, the cockney singalongs of the London Music Hall and the easy listening songs made famous by the Rat Pack.
