Assault case and drink and drug-driver appear before Nottingham Magistrates' Court for sentence

A 19-year-old was sentenced to a 12-month community order and rehabilitation at Nottingham Magistrates' Court for assaulting a woman.
Leo Holmes, of Wolsey Road, Newark, denied the assault but was found guilty at trial and was told to pay £400 compensation along with court costs totalling £315.
- A teenage drug-driver was fined and disqualified by magistrates.
Oliver Conrad, of The Ropewalk, Southwell, admitted having excess amounts of the major metabolites of cocaine and cannabis in his system.
Conrad was fined £291 and told to pay £119 costs and handed a 15-month ban.
- An unlicensed and uninsured driver was fined and banned for 12-months.
Lukasz Marszalkowski, 31, of Chatham Court, Newark, was fined £346 and must pay £125 in costs after the case against him was proven.
